47 of 2011 NIGERIAN MINERALS AND ACT No. 20 of 2007 MINERALS AND MINING REGULATIONS, 2011 [13th Day of May 201 In exercise ofthc powers conferred upon me by virtue of section 21 ofthc Nigerian and Mining Act, No. 20 of 2007 and all other powers enabling me in that behalf, l, MUSA MOHAMMED SADA, Minister of Mines and Steel Development hereby make theTHE NEW MINERALS AND MINING REGULATIONS, 2011,issued new mining regulations titled the Nigerian Minerals and Mining Regulations 2011 (the ‘Regulations’) which is intended to establish a more coordinated and accountable solid minerals sector in the country and to stamp out the discretionary grant of mineral titles. The Regulations were issued for the purpose of setting out the rules,NIGERIAN MINERALS AND MINING ACT,nigerian minerals and mining act 2007 act no. 20 an act to repeal the minerals and mining act, no. 34 of 1999 and re-enact the nigerian minerals and mining act, 2007 for the purposes of regulating all aspects of the exploration and exploitation of solid minerals in nigeria; and for related purposes.
